"Mado" is a long-time friend of the Oakley family.  He fist came to the States as a 14 year-old migrant worker.  He wound up staying on a local farm instead of migrating on and more than 15 years later and after many struggles along the way, he has full citizenship and he, his wife Jolanda, and their infant baby girl Leslie live right over the hill from the farm.  Mado loves to have his hands in the dirt, making things grow.

Reggie and the new oaks behind the name.
Reggie grew up on working the land New Oaks currently occupies.  He is a graduate of  Appalachian State University.  He and his beautiful wife Amy lived and worked in Charlotte, Frankfurt Germany, and Manhattan before returning to North Carolina in late 2006 to settle into a great neighborhood in Durham and start an amazing family.  Jordan (2007), Dean (2008) and Reid (2010) are crazy for the farm and that makes Daddy very happy!

Reggie has been plotting ways to get back to the farm for a long time.    You can take the boy off the farm...
